PIRATES, FTW!?
Posted by Taylor

Ahoy, me mateys! So, along with the new Facebook, a new language has emerged. Yes, that's right, you can set your Facebook language to 'English (Pirate).' I decided it would be funny, and yes, I actually have my language set to Pirate. Instead of the usual "Welcome to the new Facebook!" greeting you get, I'm greeted with "Ahoy! This be the Pirate's Facebook!" It made me chuckle. Your friends are now known as your "mateys," your inbox is called the "Bottle o' Messages," and your wall is now known as your "Plank." It's quite amusing, and I highly suggest at least trying it out!

While on the subject of Pirates, check out The Pirate Bay. No, it's not about pirates. It's a torrent site! Woooh! And although I generally believe that you should support artists and purchase their CDs, it's good if you're broke!

But stealing is bad. So when you DO have money, buy the CD. =]

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, Indeed.
Posted by Taylor

Wow. So, I was reading QC, like usual, and Jeph decided that it would be funny to mention one of the worst songs of all time, and have his readers in pain as they YouTube'd it, and actually listened to it. I can only describe this genre of music as "Country Rap." I'm not sure who invented this, or if anyone else besides Trace Atkins participates in this bastardization of music, by mixing two genres of music that should just be completely eliminated, but whoever it was should be shot. And before you watch it, I would just like to say that you can hold me responsible for killing you a little bit inside.

Cold Case rocks my socks off.
Posted by Taylor

I just watched an episode of Cold Case for the first time, and it made me cry. It was actually really really sad. This former drug addict's baby was apparently killed in a fire 4 years earlier, but really, the kid was kidnapped, and was replaced with an already dead baby. Sounds weird, right? Well, yeah, it was weird. But in the end the mother was reunited with her kid, who was now 4 years old, and it actually made me cry. No joke, there were tears in my eyes. I haven't cried from a television show in a long, long time. So, if you can, Sunday's at 9 on A-Channel (it's channel 20 for me) watch it!

Wow, 3 posts in one day... I'm really bored, can you tell? Haha.

A few things.
Posted by Taylor

Firstly, I did end up going to that concert on Thursday night. I also went to one on Friday night too. Friday was my 6th time seeing those boys, and let me just say that it was their best show yet. The videos from the shows should be up on YouTube soon, Gila hasn't put them up yet. Anyway, The Mission District are fucking awesome, that was my first point.

Second: Do you remember the band, Marcy Playground? I recently read about them on my favourite guitar player's Blog, Action and Action. They pretty much had only one major hit, called "Sex and Candy", and I never knew it was by them until I went on YouTube today and listened to it. I hear it on the radio all the time, but I never knew who it was by. Anyway, they were a pretty sick band, and although I was only 4 when their first album came out, I still think that they were pretty fucking awesome. I'm downloading their entire discography right now. So, here's "Sex and Candy"

Also be sure to check out "Sherry Fraser", it's a beautiful song!
And read Rob's Blog, cause he's an awesome writer!

And I really need to find some more adjectives, because I use "awesome" way too much.

Overdosin'
Posted by Taylor

So that was 4 minutes and 4 seconds of my life that I will never get back. Out of sheer boredom I decided to watch the music video to Heidi Montag's new song, Overdosin', and I think I just died a little inside. Honestly, that song is 4 minutes, and 4 seconds longer than it has to be. The video is basically Heidi in spandex, with awful 80's hair, and a bunch of ugly people in spandex behind her, to make her seem pretty. Now I'm not saying that Heidi Montag is ugly, on the contrary I think she's quite gorgeous, and I think it's pathetic that she put a bunch of fat, ugly people in the background to make her look good. Actually, it was probably Spencer who cast the people, considering that he directed it. Does Spencer think that Heidi needs ugly people to make her look pretty? Hmm... Anyway... check out the video, I guess. Actually, unless you seriously have nothing better to do, don't watch it. It's a waste of time.

So, I've decided that I'm really bad at this blogging thing... not that it matters, because no body actually reads this, but nonetheless, I'll blog as much as I can.

That's just cruel.
Posted by Taylor

What would you do if your parents wanted to take complete control over your life? You would hate it, right? Right. Well, my parents happen to be cruel. I have been planning to go to this concert - click - since I heard about it, and my mum said that she would take me and my friends. Now she's telling me that if I don't do my homework right after school, if I stay up too late, if I don't listen to absolutely every single word that comes out of her mouth, that she will not take me. So, she says that she will decide on Thursday. The day of the show. I don't think that she understands that you can't save everything for last minute. In fact, I've learned that that often gets you nowhere in life. But, she's stubborn, and refuses to give me a definite answer. She tells me, "hypothetically, if you were to do all of the following [list of shit], then I might, potentially drive you to the show." That's SO fair, isn't it? Bull. She already said she would take me, she can't just back down on her word.

Anyway... I need sleep. See you tomorrow!

Yooooo!
Posted by Taylor

Hey there...
Well, I'm fairly certain nobody will read this, (except for maybe Gila & Ming) but I'm writing anyway, for the soul purpose of writing. What about? Good question... I'm not exactly sure! This entry is basically just to introduce myself. My name is Taylor. I'm 15 years old. I love music. I think that music is the most important thing to me in life at this moment. Without it, I honestly don't know what I would do. Without music, I wouldn't have met Ming... and I probably wouldn't have been friends with Gila either!

As you can probably tell from the title, my blog will mainly be about music. Concerts I go to, bands I listen to, etc.

I'll make my first official post tomorrow, because I'm exhausted, and I seriously need some sleep!

Tootles!
