fucking idiot children!!!!
Posted by Taylor

So, I'm in the mood for a bit of a rant. Not that anyone is reading this, so it doesn't matter, but I just feel the need to say this. YOU CAN'T CALL YOURSELF A METRO STATION FAN IF 1)THE ONLY SONG YOU KNOW IS 'SHAKE IT' AND 2)YOU ONLY LIKE THEM BECAUSE YOU LIKE MILEY CYRUS, AND HER BROTHER IS IN THE BAND.

Now, I've come across this quite a lot lately. People have listed in their favourite music: Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Metro Station.

Honestly? Like really? SERIOUSLY!? I HATE these fricken children who try to call themselves Metro Station fans. You can't possibly list them in your favourite music, if the rest of the crap you listen to is CRAP! Sometimes I feel ashamed to be grouped in the same category as these people as a Metro Station fan. I've seen them live twice. They were amazing. I love them. I've met Mason, he's awesome. I hate the fucking children who want to meet Trace BECAUSE HE'S MILEY'S HALF BROTHER! WHO FUCKING CARES!? And they call Mason, Mitchell! WTF! THAT'S HIS FUCKING BROTHER! God, seriously.

Let me close this with saying, I love Metro Station.

I hate their fans.

Bands... good bands.
Posted by Taylor

So, I feel really stupid. I started this blog to write about music that I like, but I've yet to post a list of bands that I listen to! Some of my friends would tell you not to listen to me, because apparently I have an "awful taste in music" and what I enjoy "sounds like garbage." Clearly, I need some new friends that aren't tone deaf! Anyway... here it goes!

The Mission District - My all time favourite band. They are amazing and if you haven't checked them out yet, you seriously have to. Their music is awesome, just like the boys in the band! Seriously, I've seen them live 7 times, and I love them more every time!

The Maine, Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Every Avenue - All four of these bands are great! Basically Pop / Punk. They're all touring together this fall all across North America, so if they're in your area, GO! GO! GO! (Toronto date is November 23rd... will I see you there?)

The Academy Is... - Pop / Punk, with a little bit of Rock 'n' Roll.

We The Kings - Once again, Pop / Punk! On tour with The Academy Is... this fall! November 22nd is the Toronto date... I will be there!

The Midway State - Indie rock pop. Really awesome. You may have heard their single "Never Again" on the radio, or on MOD. I believe they're still in the daily 10.

Tokyo Police Club - The music speaks for itself. Pure brilliance.

Mandy K - Seriously awesome. Just heard about them the other day, so go check 'em out! They're playing The Reverb on friday, so you should go!

Metro Station - Not much to say about them... I met Mason! Haha, they're pretty fucking awesome!

McFLY - Yes, okay, I know. We all have our guilty pleasures though! And you know what? I'm not even ashamed of liking McFly, cause they're fucking AMAZING! In fact, I have a whole wall covered in pictures of those hot British boys!

LIGHTS - Really awesome girl. Her music is fantastic, definately check her out.

Searching Streetlights - Cool band, they're pretty good!

Set It Off - The lead singer is on YouTube, and he's really awesome! I love their music!

Forever The Sickest Kids - I can't believe I forgot these guys! Fricken amazing!

Stiff Dylans - As seen in the movie "Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging" Really really really awesome! And British!

The White Tie Affair - As seen on 'The Hills' Really awesome! They're on tour with Metro Station... seeing them on the 26th! Woooh! Lol.

So there's my list.
I could go on for ages, but it's nearly 3 a.m., and I need to sleep!

As The Maine would say... PEACE THE FUCK OUT!

PIRATES, FTW!?
Posted by Taylor

Ahoy, me mateys! So, along with the new Facebook, a new language has emerged. Yes, that's right, you can set your Facebook language to 'English (Pirate).' I decided it would be funny, and yes, I actually have my language set to Pirate. Instead of the usual "Welcome to the new Facebook!" greeting you get, I'm greeted with "Ahoy! This be the Pirate's Facebook!" It made me chuckle. Your friends are now known as your "mateys," your inbox is called the "Bottle o' Messages," and your wall is now known as your "Plank." It's quite amusing, and I highly suggest at least trying it out!

While on the subject of Pirates, check out The Pirate Bay. No, it's not about pirates. It's a torrent site! Woooh! And although I generally believe that you should support artists and purchase their CDs, it's good if you're broke!

But stealing is bad. So when you DO have money, buy the CD. =]

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, Indeed.
Posted by Taylor

Wow. So, I was reading QC, like usual, and Jeph decided that it would be funny to mention one of the worst songs of all time, and have his readers in pain as they YouTube'd it, and actually listened to it. I can only describe this genre of music as "Country Rap." I'm not sure who invented this, or if anyone else besides Trace Atkins participates in this bastardization of music, by mixing two genres of music that should just be completely eliminated, but whoever it was should be shot. And before you watch it, I would just like to say that you can hold me responsible for killing you a little bit inside.

Cold Case rocks my socks off.
Posted by Taylor

I just watched an episode of Cold Case for the first time, and it made me cry. It was actually really really sad. This former drug addict's baby was apparently killed in a fire 4 years earlier, but really, the kid was kidnapped, and was replaced with an already dead baby. Sounds weird, right? Well, yeah, it was weird. But in the end the mother was reunited with her kid, who was now 4 years old, and it actually made me cry. No joke, there were tears in my eyes. I haven't cried from a television show in a long, long time. So, if you can, Sunday's at 9 on A-Channel (it's channel 20 for me) watch it!

Wow, 3 posts in one day... I'm really bored, can you tell? Haha.

A few things.
Posted by Taylor

Firstly, I did end up going to that concert on Thursday night. I also went to one on Friday night too. Friday was my 6th time seeing those boys, and let me just say that it was their best show yet. The videos from the shows should be up on YouTube soon, Gila hasn't put them up yet. Anyway, The Mission District are fucking awesome, that was my first point.

Second: Do you remember the band, Marcy Playground? I recently read about them on my favourite guitar player's Blog, Action and Action. They pretty much had only one major hit, called "Sex and Candy", and I never knew it was by them until I went on YouTube today and listened to it. I hear it on the radio all the time, but I never knew who it was by. Anyway, they were a pretty sick band, and although I was only 4 when their first album came out, I still think that they were pretty fucking awesome. I'm downloading their entire discography right now. So, here's "Sex and Candy"

Also be sure to check out "Sherry Fraser", it's a beautiful song!
And read Rob's Blog, cause he's an awesome writer!

And I really need to find some more adjectives, because I use "awesome" way too much.

Overdosin'
Posted by Taylor

So that was 4 minutes and 4 seconds of my life that I will never get back. Out of sheer boredom I decided to watch the music video to Heidi Montag's new song, Overdosin', and I think I just died a little inside. Honestly, that song is 4 minutes, and 4 seconds longer than it has to be. The video is basically Heidi in spandex, with awful 80's hair, and a bunch of ugly people in spandex behind her, to make her seem pretty. Now I'm not saying that Heidi Montag is ugly, on the contrary I think she's quite gorgeous, and I think it's pathetic that she put a bunch of fat, ugly people in the background to make her look good. Actually, it was probably Spencer who cast the people, considering that he directed it. Does Spencer think that Heidi needs ugly people to make her look pretty? Hmm... Anyway... check out the video, I guess. Actually, unless you seriously have nothing better to do, don't watch it. It's a waste of time.

So, I've decided that I'm really bad at this blogging thing... not that it matters, because no body actually reads this, but nonetheless, I'll blog as much as I can.
